Felix and Everly's Mini Adventures are gentle and innocent tales set in Northumberland and NE England.
They have short chapters and a small selection of illustrations which are perfect for early readers of chapter books. They are aimed at 5-10 year olds. The first 4 books follow the seasons, starting with The Wild Garden which is set in spring.
The latest adventure, 'A Blizzard in Berwick' is out now and is set in Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Northumberland.
All the books feature local wildlife and are ideal for children with a love of nature and the outdoors.
You can buy the books in various Northumberland shops including Guru Coffee Shop in Fenwick, Lowick Village Store, Lindisfarne Heritage Centre, Holy Island Post Office, Heatherslaw mill gift shop, Ingram Cafe, Jane and Harry in Alnmouth, Slightly Foxed in Berwick-Upon-Tweed and The Running Fox Cafes in Shilbottle and Longhoughton.

Meet Felix and Everly as they set off on their first mini adventure in The Wild Garden.
A game of tug of war in the garden takes an unexpected turn when Felix and Everly shrink to the size of insects and have to find shelter before it gets dark. They meet some animals living in their wild garden including a Bumblebee who takes them on an amazing ride and helps them uncover some incredible skills.
They are in a race against time as the weather turns and night falls on the garden but before they can return to the safety of their home they need to use all their strength and knowledge to rescue an animal in trouble. They learn the true power of their minds with their trusty cat Jax to guide them.
The Wild Garden is just the beginning of the Mini Adventures and Felix and Everly find out just how much they are in tune with nature at every turn.

The cover art and illustrations are by Chris Ewing who is a pyrography artist and owner of Charred Wood in Northumberland.

The Big City
The Big City is the second book in the Felix and Everly Mini Adventures series.
A school trip to Newcastle is just the beginning of their latest adventure, including a friendly Kittiwake and a flying visit to St. James’ Park where Felix and Everly get an inside view of the famous Newcastle United Football ground. Using their incredibly handy shrinking skills and ability to talk to animals, every day is a mini adventure for Felix and Everly.

the old woods
Autumn brings a new adventure for Felix and Everly in book 3, The Old Woods.
They explore the old woods near their Northumberland cottage where they spend their weekends climbing trees and meeting animal friends.
Autumn brings Storm Arwen with mayhem and destruction and they need to work together with their friends to ensure the safety of the woodland creatures that call the old woods home.
The series follows the seasons and The Old Woods is set in autumn.
the best christmas (ever)
It's nearly Christmas Eve and Felix and Everly meet a cheeky elf who takes them on an unforgettable adventure to Santa's workshop.
It's a magical place with toys, presents, food, elves, reindeer and Santa himself, of course! They discover the true meaning of Christmas and find out more about their skills. It truly is the best Christmas ever.
Felix and Everly's Mini Adventures are seasonal stories and The Best Christmas (Ever) is the winter story.

LET LOOSE ON LINDISFARNE
Felix and Everly's Mini Adventures continue 2 years after their Wild Garden outing with a jam packed Lindisfarne day.
Crossing the North Sea to spend a day on Lindisfarne, Felix and Everly ditch their parents and explore the island while the tide is in. A shy seal and a busy Eider Duck are just some of the animals they meet on an unforgettable Holy Island outing.
Every day is a mini adventure for Felix and Everly.

Felix and Everly have a very snowy mini adventure in the border town of Berwick-Upon-Tweed when a blizzard hits the town.
Book 6 in the series follows Felix and Everly as a normal school day turns into a sleepover when they are snowed in and the roads are all closed. They use their shrinking skills and ability to talk to animals in the school grounds, meeting a fierce stoat and a shy mouse as well as a majestic swan. Waiting to be rescued by their parents once the roads have opened, they make the most of their night in school by having an epic winter mini adventure.
